The theologian lamented during the Oct. 2 episode of "America Unhinged" on Brighteon.TV that Christianity has been pushed back into the four walls of the physical church structure. He blamed the government and the churches themselves who didn't want to get involved as the main reason why Christianity is constrained. Most pastors didn't want to be involved in politics because they were too religious, strictly constitutionalist or strictly Christian.
He then turned to Adams and asked her about her role in TPUSA Faith. The endeavor, which is a 501(c)(3) organization under the wing of the main TPUSA founded by Charlie Kirk, seeks to "help unite pastors together across the country to stand firm for biblical truth." Adams said her job is to reach out to pastors and churches in the American states that she covers. (Related: Pastor Brandon Burden: The Church has to reengage back into culture – Brighteon.TV.)
She added that her group is also introducing themselves to others and explaining the resources TPUSA Faith has. These materials, Adams continued, come at no cost for churches. When asked by Diamond about whether the group has found pastors accepting TPUSA Faith's message, she replied in the affirmative.
According to Adams, TPUSA Faith is hosting two pastor events each year. She cited two events – one event held back in May in Nashville, Tennessee hosted over 800 pastors, while another one in San Diego saw more than 1,600 pastors in attendance.
Diamond described the Church as a "sleeping giant" with many structures, manpower and money. However, it has squandered a lot of its resources after buying into the lie that it isn't supposed to be involved in politics. But Adams replied optimistically, noting that people are now seeing churches getting involved, biblical truth and addressing issues like transgenderism.
"The Bible had a very instrumental role in the lives of our Founding Fathers. [But] for years, it's apparent that pastors have made the decision that they don't want to breach politics from the church," she told Diamond. "What we're trying to do is just remind them what the Bible says as believers that they need to stand up against evil and tyranny that we're seeing so much of in our culture right now."
The theologian and "America Unhinged" host also noted that based on the Declaration of Independence, humans are endowed by the Creator with certain rights. Thus, it is the government's job to protect those rights.
He also noted that the Church has misinterpreted Romans 13, which pertains to obeying authorities. Diamond stressed that everybody, including the government, has to submit to and obey God. Nowhere in the chapter does it state that citizens must submit to the government, he added.
He also cited several biblical characters who didn't obey government authorities in favor of God. This included the apostles of the early Christian church, who expressed their obedience to God rather than men.
Adams then remarked that she believes churches do not want to offend anybody, as the truth can be offensive to somebody who is not living in it. She added that TPUSA Faith is now trying to remind the leaders of churches that it is their duty to address the issues.
